Yahoo! eBay and allies against phishing
Yahoo, eBay and its PayPal online payment division has signed an agreement to fight together with the false e-mail signed and sent to eBay and PayPal users around the world. This is a very important initiative, which aims, the statement said, to shake up an industry that is lagging behind in the fight against spam and phishing attempts.
eBay and PayPal have decided to include in e-mail they send to their users a technology standard called DomainKeys invented by Yahoo and so you can verify the originality or less than one e-mail message. The technology comes in boxes of all users Yahoo! in the coming weeks.
It is, therefore, a real step forward in the fight against crime. eBay and PayPal, in fact, along with numerous banks and pharmaceutical companies are the companies most targeted by perpetrators of phishing, which try to trick people with false e-mail designed specifically for the steal personal and financial information of the person to whom it is addressed.
